HEARING TESTS
Hearing loss is often a gradual process, so it can go unnoticed for many years. However, we know that the earlier a hearing loss is identified, the better the outcome when a person starts their journey to better hearing. Just like your eyes, your ears need regular check-ups, which allow us to pick up on any changes to your hearing.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU HAVE A HEARING TEST?
We recommend every five years, increasing to every two years over the age of 50.
If you notice a sudden change in your hearing, we recommend booking a test immediately as it could be a medical emergency.
OUR HEARING TESTS
We offer two types of hearing tests, to cater to all needs.
Standard Hearing Test - £95 (45 minutes)
Our standard hearing test is ideal for a regular check-up to keep your ears healthy or identify a potential hearing loss.
Full Hearing Assessment & Hearing Aid Trial - £195 (90 minutes)
Our full assessment expands on the results of the standard hearing test. It is best for those who have noticed a problem with their hearing and are considering hearing aids or already have aids which are not satisfactory. The assessment explores your hearing loss to see whether hearing aids and amplification are suitable.
This option also includes a week-long trial of the latest hearing technology to demonstrate what can be achieved. Also included, if necessary is microsuction wax removal.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT A HEARING TEST
Upon attending your appointment at our comforting state of the art clinic, you will see the attention to detail we pay not only to your treatment but every aspect of our business. Your Audiologist will ask you a series of questions before examining your ears. Then your hearing will be tested using an audiometer. Further tests will establish how you respond to noise and the suitability of hearing solutions. You will be given a full explanation of the results and recommended solutions, before you have the opportunity to try the benefits of any amplification for yourself, this may require multiple visits but we will endeavour to get you the optimal outcome.
